TOPS I Stick Mini – 2.75″ 1075 Black Traction Coated Double-Edge Blade, Blue/Black G-10 Handle – ISTKM-01

Know your local laws: Push daggers and double-edged fixed blades are restricted or prohibited in some states and municipalities. Check the laws where you live and carry before ordering; see akti.org for state-by-state information.

The TOPS I Stick Mini ISTKM-01 is a compact push dagger designed by Leo Espinoza, a scaled-down version of TOPS’s original I Stick. TOPS says the design began with a conversation at the 2025 NRA Annual Meetings with a female law enforcement officer whose old hand injury limited her grip strength. She needed a tool that stays in the hand without a tight wrap-around grip.

1075 carbon steel is a tough, simple carbon steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to resharpen. TOPS hardens it to 56-58 HRC on very thick 0.380″ (3/8″) stock with a stepped-down double-edge grind, so the blade keeps a strong spine while the edges are ground thinner for cutting. A black traction coating covers the blade.

• Blade: 2.75″ 1075 carbon steel double-edged blade with 2.38″ cutting edges on each side, stepped-down grind, black traction coating, 56-58 HRC, 0.380″ thick.
• Handle: Blue/black G-10 T-handle that sits between the fingers in a closed fist, so it does not depend on grip strength; 5.10″ overall.
• Sheath: Black Kydex sheath with a multi-position thin spring steel clip.
• Carry: Compact enough for a duty belt or plainclothes carry; 6.8 oz knife, 8.9 oz with sheath.

Ideal for: law enforcement officers who want a compact backup fixed blade on the duty belt; users with limited grip strength who need a tool that stays in the hand; and TOPS collectors following Leo Espinoza’s designs.

Care note: 1075 is a carbon steel, not a stainless steel. It may rust or stain, so keep the exposed edges clean, dry, and lightly oiled, especially after exposure to moisture or sweat.

TOPS I Stick Mini: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the TOPS I Stick Mini (ISTKM-01).

Is the TOPS I Stick Mini legal where I live?

It depends on your state and local laws. Push daggers and double-edged fixed blades are restricted or prohibited in some states and municipalities, and carry rules differ from place to place. Buyers are responsible for knowing and following the laws where they live and carry. See akti.org for state-by-state information before ordering.

What type of blade and handle does the I Stick Mini have?

The I Stick Mini is a fixed-blade push dagger with a 2.75-inch double-edged blade on 0.380-inch stock and a stepped-down grind that keeps a thick spine with thinner cutting edges. The blue/black G-10 T-handle sits between your fingers in a closed fist, so it stays in place without relying on a tight grip.

Why did TOPS design the I Stick Mini?

TOPS says designer Leo Espinoza created the I Stick Mini after talking with a female law enforcement officer at the 2025 NRA Annual Meetings. An old hand injury had limited her grip strength, and she needed a compact tool that would stay in her hand. Leo scaled down TOPS’s original I Stick while keeping its thick, heavy-duty build.

How do I care for the 1075 carbon steel blade?

1075 is a carbon steel, not a stainless steel, so it can rust or stain if left wet or dirty. Keep the exposed edges clean, dry, and lightly oiled, especially after exposure to moisture or sweat. TOPS notes that the black coating can scratch or wear with contact against hard surfaces and the sheath.

What comes with the TOPS I Stick Mini ISTKM-01?

The ISTKM-01 ships with a black Kydex sheath fitted with a multi-position thin spring steel clip. Packaging and included items are set by TOPS and are subject to change.

Where is the I Stick Mini made, and what warranty covers it?

The I Stick Mini is made in the USA by TOPS Knives. TOPS guarantees its fixed blade knives against defects in materials and workmanship for life, and its sheaths for one year from the original purchase. The warranty does not cover loss or theft, broken tips, chipped edges, rust, worn coatings, or damage from misuse, abuse, throwing, or prying, and proof of purchase is required.
